The Western New York Book Arts Center   is seeking an Executive Director with proven leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.  The preferred candidate will have a practical grounding in arts advocacy and a working knowledge of the non-profit sector including board development and strategic planning. Responsibilities will include oversight of the facilities, budget, fundraising and staff. A bachelor’s degree with a graduate degree in a related field preferred.  Compensation is $40K + benefits.  Review of applications begins February 1, 2012 and will continue until the position is filled. Announcing the Ladies of Letterpress 2012 National Stationery Show lineup!

Ladies of Letterpress will be back at this May's National Stationery Show with an outstanding lineup of shops and studios! Hailing from all over the nation, this year's group is comprised of talented designers, excellent printers, and . . . I could go on and on. You'll just have to come by the show and meet them all. Hi there! I'm still relatively new to the letterpress world. I started out in San Diego as an apprentice at a great letterpress shop, learning on the the Heidelberg, Kluge, and C&P. I learned on the Vandercook a bit up in the San Francisco area. Due to some other issues I had to relocate to Los Angeles and am looking to meet up with the letterpress community up here. Stitch Labs sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. Allows to keep track of expenses and inventories. And very moderately priced. Great suggestion. Thanks.

Take a look at Stitch Labs or Freshbooks. I haven't used either but they seem popular among the small business and craftier types. Both are web-based.
