I'm getting back to work after a fun-filled weekend at BookOpolis, a two-day festival held at Asheville BookWorks (in Asheville, NC). Friday night was the opening reception for the exhibit on display at BookWorks, and we were treated to wine, snacks, and beautiful accordion music. Saturday was hands-on day, where visitors could stop by to watch printing, binding, and papermaking demos, but also stick around to do some of their own. We were swamped with visitors that day, and I had so much fun working the press and showing people how to print their own pamphlets.
One of the highlights of the show was the "Enterprising Maidens" print exchange, on display in the print area. Lots of people commented on these cards, and about Ladies of Letterpress - it was a big hit! I was too busy most of the time to take decent photos, but I'll post the few that I managed to get.

I'm so glad I got to be a part of this exchange! Thanks to Kathryn Hunter of Blackbird Letterpress for rounding us up and putting us to work. And thanks to all the ladies (and gents) who participated!
